Morris Animal Foundation Accepting Applications for Pilot Study Grants

Morris Animal Foundation (MAF) now accepts proposals for pilot studies on a monthly basis. Reviews will be conducted 3-4 times annually. The goal of this program is to provide timely funding for innovative ideas to speed up discovery and advance the Foundation’s mission. The Fund for Creative Communities (The Fund) is part of the New York State Council on the Arts’ (NYSCA) statewide Decentralization program (DEC), which was established in 1977 by the New York State Legislature as a statewide, community arts regrant program. Starbucks Foundation

The Starbucks Foundation supports communities where Starbucks does business. The Foundation’s initial focus was on funding literacy programs in the U.S. and Canada. It has since grown to include supporting education and youth leadership in communities where Starbucks has stores, and social investments in countries where Starbucks buys coffee, tea and cocoa. Teaching with Primary Sources

The mission of the Library of Congress Teaching with Primary Sources program is to build a consortium that fosters collaborations between the Library and the educational community to increase instructional use of Library of Congress digitized primary sources within K-12 classrooms. The program contributes to the quality of education by deepening content understanding and improving student literacy in our nation’s schools.

The Teaching with Primary Sources (TPS) Eastern Region, coordinated by Waynesburg University, is charged with facilitating the growth of the TPS network through the systematic integration of TPS methods and materials throughout the educational community within the eastern region of the United States.

Proposals from $5,000 to $15,000 will be considered and are accepted on a rolling basis. Preference will be given to proposals that have the most potential for being integrated into K-12 classrooms for the long-term.

With a total community action fund of $100,000, Tom's of Maine's "50 States for Good" initiative is celebrating and rewarding nonprofits from across the country whose efforts are focused on lasting, positive change in the community. Finalists will be selected by a judging panel based on immediate achievability, positive impact in the community, and engagement and mobilization among members of the community.
